I got a new hamster! :3

His name is Zekky (short for Zekrom ), and he's a male Syrian. He's almost totally black, he doesn't even have a white tummy, which is unusual for a hamster. (he has a thin white line down his chest, a small white patch on his tummy, and his chin is white, but that's it)

He was very scared and jumpy and first, and he kept making hissing noises whenever someone went near his cage, but after about an hour, he'd calmed down and he was brave enough to take a sunflower seed from my hand.
I let him sniff my hand through the bars, so he can get used to my scent.

I haven't handled him yet, as he's still settling in, but I can't wait.

I haven't seen him go inside his bed yet, as he's currently sleeping in the cardboard box we brought him home in. He's taken the bedding and the stored food from his bed/nest and stuffed it in his potty.

He loves climbing, he spent most of the time yesterday climbing upside down across the ceiling of his cage.
